It is an ordinary Friday as the Dishon family prepares for the day. The kids go to school and the parents go to work but when mom Edna comes home at 1pm she is startled to see her teenage daughter’s car in the driveway. Edna looks throughout the house for her daughter Jessica and without locating her, Edna goes outside to see if her car was perhaps not working and Jessica simply got a ride to school that day. When Edna opens Jessica’s car door, a sick feeling hits her. She finds Jessica’s purse with her cell phone sticking out of it. On the floorboard on the driver’s side of the car, is one of Jessica’s shoes. When the parents contact the police to report Jessica missing,the sheriff suggests that perhaps she just took off for a bit and will be back soon. Thinking the teen was just a runaway would be the first mistake in a long, twisted case with a heartbreaking and shocking conclusion. Soon, Benny was starting his own religion and writing his own Bible.Benny then began to sell love potions, hexes, and amulets and would charge upwards of $10 a day for his services. Craig Alaska is a beautiful fishing town on the coast of Alaska located about 1000 miles south of Anchorage. The final fishing weekend has come to a close. The docks are full of the people turning in their last big catch so on September 5, 1982 when a fancy fishing boat named The Investor comes to the docks, it catches a lot of attention. It was not your ordinary working boat. It was a 58 foot fishing vessel with all the bells and whistles that would have cost over $800,000. It stood out among all the others. The following morning, people noticed the boat was not docked but floating aimlessly out at sea. What would happen next would shock onlookers and create more questions than answers … some of those questions remain unanswered to this day.
