Feeling true happiness, doing things with purpose & DPC Speed Dating; with Meera Elbay [Part 2]

This week we're bringing you part 2 of our amazing chat with Meera from @yournewnormal1. If you haven't listened to part one yet, you should absolutely do so! Meera qualified as a lawyer after graduating from Warwick Uni, as she thought that's what her Mum would have wanted. She tells us how she finally realised this wasn't for her and how she's now moulding a new life. We talk about why she started @yournewnormal1, the beauty of social media and why grief and joy are not mutually exclusive. "People think of grief and joy as mutually exclusive, but they really do come hand in hand. I've never been as happy, I can really feel what happiness is now." Meera's husband is also a member of the DPC, which sparked an idea for a potential new branch of the DPC... DPC speed dating, anyone?? This was such an uplifting conversation, and as always, Kat and I were comforted to know that it's absolutely normal to feel the way that we do, and that sadness will always be there, but it's something you become comfortable with. "Whatever you're feeling right now, you won't always feel that. It's a temporary state, and you will feel lighter." Thank you for inspiring us, Meera!!
