16. Self-Love Coach Erika Beal: Body Neutrality, Role Modeling a Healthy Relationship Food and Body

In this episode I interview Anti-Diet Advocate, Radical Self-Love Coach & Mom of 2, Erika Beal. We get into her personal experience of pregnancy and how the fear of weight gain during pregnancy impacted her mental health. After a deep-dive in to plant a based diet, and obsession with only eating 'healthy' foods, Erika found another way. She now advocates for eating intuitively, working towards body neutrality & self-love. We get into how she models this to her 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son. She listens to her body and respects her body for what it can DO rather than for what it looks like, and guides her children to do the same. We talk a lot of shit about diet culture & get in to how wellness culture has, very unfortunately, adopted diet culture perspectives and wrapped them up in different packaging and is selling them as 'health'.
