Kim Whitaker | Part 02 - Social Impact & Entrepreneurship

Kim Whitaker | Part 02 - Social Impact & Entrepreneurship

In this episode, we share part two with Kim Whitaker, an entrepreneurial leader and startup founder who started her first hospitality business at the age of 23 and is now an expert in organisational culture, social impact, and systems and technology.

Kim takes us through her thought process around the importance of values in the hiring process, and how asking the right questions can help build a phenomenal team. She talks about the old adage, “hire slow and fire fast”, and shares her process of recruiting the right people and what that looks like in practice.

As a female entrepreneur who has founded a number of businesses, Kim shares her definition of success in building a company, and how building a world-beating culture helps drive exceptional results for the team, the customer and the company’s bottom line. Her experience as an entrepreneur with an Executive MBA, a remarkable hospitality professional, as a mom and a partner, make her story a truly valuable one to listen to.
