In the 19th century, engineer Hank Morgan receives a blow to the head and is transported back in time to the time of King Arthur and his knights of the round table. Hank uses his knowledge and sets himself up as a rival to Merlin. Will he modernize Camelot and change the course of history?

I first read this book in 7th or 8th grade and loved it. The idea of traveling back in time and keeping all your modern knowledge is enticing. Knowing your history you’d be seen as a god or prophet foretelling the future. Or maybe you’d overstep and be burned at the stake as an evil witch. It’s a fine line between saint and sinner.

If you were thrown back to the Middle Ages what would you do? Would you use your knowledge to change history? I bet the biggest obstacle is the language barrier. Start brushing up on your Latin and Old English.
