The Real Meaning of Life

You've asked yourself this question before. Maybe once. Maybe a thousand times. And you still don't have the answer.

What is the meaning of life?

It's the oldest question humanity has ever asked. Philosophers have debated it for millennia. Religions were built around it. Wars were fought over it. Books, songs, and entire civilizations were created trying to answer it. And we're still not sure.

Some people found their answer a long time ago. They carry it with them like a compass, and it guides everything they do. Others gave up looking and decided the question itself is the problem. And then there are the rest of us. The searchers. Still turning it over in our heads at 2 a.m., wondering if the answer is something we discover or something we create.

Is it love? Is it purpose? Is it legacy? Is it God? Is it nothing? Is the meaning of life something universal that applies to everyone, or does each person have to build their own from scratch?

This episode doesn't pretend to have the definitive answer. Instead, it sits with the question honestly and explores the most compelling attempts humanity has made to answer it, from ancient philosophy to modern psychology to the voices in your own head that won't stop asking.
