Launching his new non-fiction creative film Circus Boy, director Lester "LA" Alfonso sits down with us today!  Circus Boy is a quietly impactful work looking at the relationship between a circus trainer and his young protege and adoptive son.  The film captures both their artistry as well as the inspiration they impart on both their mothers who witness the bond and parenting between the man and his son. LA is a genre-defying multi-media maverick. He is the director, producer, and star of his creative nonfiction films Twelve, Trying to Be Some Kind of Hero, The Best Waitress in the World, and Birthmark. He is a film theorist and artist focusing on themes of vision, wonder, otherness, and the self. We will be discussing her new book With Honor and Integrity: Transgender Troops in Their Own Words..  Should transgender service members celebrate the future of a more inclusive military—or prepare for the next administration to turn back the clock again?    With Honor and Integrity: Transgender Troops in Their Own Words (NYU Press; November 9, 2021) explores this question and other concerns—practical, social, financial, and medical—through the voices of transgender military personnel, past and present. The book shares honest, heartfelt, and often heart-wrenching accounts from 26 individuals who know what it is like to serve in the US military as a trans person. Putting a personal face on a complex issue, With Honor and Integrity features the stories of transgender service members across a range of ranks, all military branches, and a variety of occupational specialties and personal backgrounds and transgender identities.   Bree is a lieutenant colonel in the US Space Force who has held command at the squadron level, led Air Force security cooperation with Iraq, and led space acquisition programs. She is the President of SPARTA, a transgender military advocacy organization.  With co-host Brody Levesque.

Welcome to Journey with Stephanie!  Tonight acclaimed psychic and healer, Stephanie Gerard interviews Jordan Christine Gray! About Jordan:  "Even though I've only been using my gifts professionally in my adult years, I consider myself to have always been a healer. It is something that is deep within each and every one of us and in this lifetime is something I have chosen to embrace. I started exploring energy and having many spiritual encounters at a very young age, giving me the awareness early on that there was another reality I could tap into. I began seeing an energy healer when I was 13 and saw her every month for 13 years, until I was able to provide my own healing. I received my BA in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles in 2010 and then went on to receive certifications as Reiki Master, Master Teacher, and Crystal Healer by 2013. I then married a wonderful man, had two beautiful children, and moved from Los Angeles, to Seattle, and eventually ended up In Northern Idaho.  I started working as a professional healer in 2017. I worked out of a metaphysical shop in the greater Seattle area where I also taught crystal, chakra, and meditation classes. I moved to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho in 2020 where I am currently living. I do in-person sessions and virtual sessions, giving me the flexibility to work with people all over the world. I follow a daily spiritual, mental, and physical practice, in order to maintain a higher frequency and to be able to be of my best service to myself, others, and to the world. I consider myself a lightworker and believe that my mission in this life is to assist others in finding and spreading their own light so that we all can experience true peace, love, and joy."
