Today, we'll be discussing why no one believed Harry Potter when he told the wizarding world that Voldemort had returned.Although a young 11-year old Harry encounters a form of Voldemort in the very first instalment of the series, it's not until three years later that he chooses to share with the magical community that Voldemort has indeed come back. The reason for this is quite logical, since the first time that Harry witnesses Voldemort during his time at Hogwarts, the Dark Lord has no human form of his own. He's this creepy shadow version of himself that feasts on unicorn blood and eventually takes up residence upon the back of poor doomed and misguided Professor Quirinus Quirrell's head. So...what really would he have had to tell? That Voldemort sneaks about on the back of people's heads? I mean, I suppose he could have. But really, many people already knew or at least suspected that Voldemort had never died and was not truly gone. Today we're discussing whether or not Muggle parents ever visit their magical children at Hogwarts.It goes without saying--and yet, I'm about to say it--that if you found out your child was a witch or wizard and was about to get shipped off to some magical castle out in the middle of the Scottish highlands, you'd WANT TO VISIT.First let's address the fact that it would be a bit dodgy to send your kid off to some castle out in the middle of nowhere, under the care of an elderly looking man with a super long beard who likes to dress in what looks to be eccentric multi-coloured pyjamas. Today, we'll be discussing why in Merlin's Beard Snape would've given the Sword of Gryffindor to one of Voldemort's most devoted Death Eaters, Bellatrix Lestrange.Now, the question here arises since--in the end--Professor Severus Snape turned out to be, for lack of a better term, "a GOOD GUY". This means that in looking back on the series, there are certain instances that don't seem to quite add up. I mean, they certainly did at the time--so long as you believed that Snape was an evil Death Eater. But upon discovering that his true allegiance was to Professor Dumbledore, the Order of the Phoenix, and Harry himself, you begin to wonder why he did some of the things he did. And one of those things is why he would've given the Sword of Gryffindor--the weapon he knew was bequeathed to Harry in Dumbledore's will that could DESTROY Voldemort's Horcruxes--to Bellatrix Lestrange.As it turns out, the answer to this question is quite simple: he didn't. Severus never actually gave Bellatrix the REAL sword. Rather, he handed over a remarkably good fake version in its place, presumably hiding the real sword, and eventually giving it to Harry, Ron and Hermione in that icy lake out in the woods.But why give it to her in the first place? Today, we're discussing how it's possible that Voldemort didn't realize he'd made Harry into one of his Horcruxes.Horcruxes are, of course, one of the darkest bits of magic known to the wider wizarding world. In fact, they are considered to be so dark and dangerous that teaching on the subject has been banned at Hogwarts for years, with even the Restricted Section of the Library barely acknowledging their existence...But from what we know, a Horcrux is made by murdering an innocent victim without regret. This horrendous act allows the killer to rip a piece of their soul from their body and place it into an inanimate object or living host. The theory is that if the killer were to die themselves, the Horcrux would survive, rendering that person immortal.
