EP26: Emma Jenkings on Mediation

I speak with Emma Jenkings from Mosaic Mediations, we discuss mediation and Emma answers your questions.

Emma is a qualified workplace and employment mediator and runs her business Mosaic Mediation. After completing her Law degree in 2009, she went on to work at the Employment Tribunal as a Caseworker, Tribunal Clerk and Customer Service Officer.

Emma found that she had a knack for resolving complaints or issues when they arose. She also witnessed the stress, financial pressure and emotional strain that so many people go through during the tribunal process. Emma believed that if situations were tackled differently at an earlier stage, the matter could have been resolved effectively, without resorting to the tribunal.

At the beginning of 2016 Emma became a qualified workplace and employment mediator and started her business, Mosaic Mediation. Since then she has led and assisted in mediations for a wide variety of situations and work sectors, and has written a number of articles on conflict and communication. She has also presented talks on conflict prevention, assertiveness and conflict in the workplace. Alongside workplace mediation, Emma also provides 1:1 conflict prevention coaching, DISC personality assessments and corporate training on conflict and communication.

Abuse Talk Podcast currently offers a series of interviews with those that work in the domestic abuse sector. Getting an inside feel for what its really like in their job role and sharing it with all of you.

Now mixing with survivor stories.
