The Chateau Laurier
The Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa, Ontario, is Canada’s most lavish and elegant hotels. Just steps from Canadian Parliament, the granite and white Italian marble building was designed in French Renaissance and neo-Gothic style and built in 1912 for $2 million. Despite its romantic appearance, several deaths have allegedly occurred in and around the hotel, those souls seem to be trapped with the hotel and encounters, including disembodied voice singing, brushes with unseen hands, and doors opening and closing have all been experienced. Because of this the Fairmont Chateau Laurier has gained a reputation where ghosts can be encountered and when you visit you might be lucky enough to meet some of those visitors that never left.
