He received his masters in Environmental Education and Administration from Prescott College and is the author of the outdoor adventure book, "Off the Map: Fifty-five Weeks of Adventuring in the Great American Wilderness and Beyond" and "Renegade Car Camping: A Guide to Free Campsites and the Ultimate Road Trip Experience"
