Depth scoring helps VGK defeat Panthers

The Golden Knights had depth scoring from Brayden McNabb and Tanner Pearson to get out to an early 2-0 lead, and their goals carried VGK to a 4-1 victory over the defending Cup champion Panthers. Jack Eichel scored a goal on a breakaway and Tomas Hertl hit an empty net to round out the scoring. It was a physical game in which Florida outhit VGK 36-14 VGK started Adin Hill, who played well and only allowed one goal on a deflection.
