Ep.40; Why Pharmacy with Dr. Bartou Wilson

As a child, Dr. Wilson always had a vision to become a pharmacist so he could make a lasting impact within his community. Between 2015 to 2018, he gained valuable expertise in patient care through medication therapy management as a clinical pharmacist with Rite-Aid. Dr. Wilson began working at CVS and was quickly promoted to a pharmacy manager because of his skill set of fostering deep connections with medical professionals, customers, and providing thorough medication consultations. Prior to entering the field of pharmacy, Dr. Wilson graduated from Francis Marion University (FMU) in 2010, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. In 2015, he graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy from Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy (PCSP). While attending PCSP, he was awarded a certificate in Medication Therapy Management by the American Pharmacists Association. In Dr. Wilson’s spare time, he shows dedication to his community as a scout master with Boy Scouts of America. In recognition of his professional excellence, he was recently honored as a Top Immunizer for the district, COVID Vaccine Support- Clinic Lead and CVS/Health Foundations For Leading (FFL). Additionally, Dr. Wilson aims to build a brand for himself by way of his podcast “Pill Talk Podcast,” which allows medical professionals to share their journey and wisdom to inspire students to join the medical field #pilltalk #pilltalkpodcast #drbartou
