Ep. 160 - Interview: Tammy - Former Exotic Dancer and Owner of Tantra Fitness

Welcome back lovelies! Today the host of 50 PLUS A TIP are joined by pole studio owner and former exotic dancer Tammy Morris (@tammy_the_real_deal_morris). Tammy was an Exotic Dancer for 11 + years travelling the world, and ending her career at the world famous Brandi's Showroom in Vancouver. Tammy competed in many competitions, winning Miss Nude Showgirls, Miss Nude Alberta, Entertainer of the Year, and many more. In 2003 the universe took some twists and turns and Tammy took a year off to figure out what to do with her life. Tammy decided to start the Canadian Pole Fitness Association, dedicated to showing Pole as a fun fitness activity for everybody. In the words of Tammy: “The stripping industry helped shape who I am today. I hope that it can be a safe space for sex workers to feel supported and that it can be used as a transition for those of those looking for other opportunities."

In this episode, Tammy shares stories of her dancing career, how the industry has changed and her experience opening Tantra (@Tantrafitness). They discuss the importance of pole-dancers acknowledging the history of the dance, and how that played into the way Tammy evolved her studio. Plus we get into your listener question and address one very juicy rumour starring Affleck.
