EP#22- Writing and Mental Health with Kelly Wiesehan, Author of Small Legs Big Teeth: A Prequel of Something Yet to Come

There are hundreds of studies in the field of pyschology that investigate the impact of writing on mental health. This week, I brought Kelly Wiesehan onto the podcast to talk about her own experiences as a writer, and how daily journaling has been a creative and therapeutic outlet for her. Kelly is a senior at Washington University in St. Louis and soon-to-be published author of Small Legs Big Teeth: A Prequel of Something Yet to Come. Small Legs Big Teeth is a modern coming-of-age memoir that chronicles Kelly's adolescence in real-time, drawing from journal entries she's produced since she was 11 years old. Her memoir will be published in April 2021.
