Candace Horbacz | What Does Porn Do to Your Brain? Controversial Thoughts From a Former Adult Entertainment Star KKP: 571

Today, I am blessed to have here with me Candice Horbacz. She spent the past 12+ years working in the adult industry and started out when she was just around 19. That is obviously not living life on tiptoe; rather, embracing it with open arms. Everyone's probably had a moment where you just felt pulled to something, and you couldn't articulate it and understand its nature. But you just knew that that's where you were supposed to be at that time, and that’s how Candice got into the adult industry. Candice didn't believe she would have lasted at a regular job if she hadn't been able to step into her feminine power and use that as a means to have radical confidence, tap into her sexuality, and have this ultimate form of freedom that she didn't see elsewhere. According to her, it wouldn't have worked if someone had told her where to be, how to dress, how long to work, or where to work. It would have been too much control. For the majority of her career, she was a contract star, which was what she desired. It appeared to be the simplest, most foreseeable method to have predictable income control. To let the people she was filming know exactly what was going to happen on set and to feel in control. But this was not the case, and instead, people kept pushing her boundaries. Candice ended up starting her production company. Now, she has an agency where they're helping creators own their own content. They help them realize their worth, and potential and encourage them to diversify and use content creation as a stepping stone rather than a means to an end. The beginning: Over ten years ago, Candice started webcamming while getting her degree in Psychology. As she became increasingly mainstream (HUGE!) in the adult entertainment industry (Eva Lovia), she experienced a gamut of experiences: from webmasters trying to steal her name to having been wrongfully terminated from a massive contract for standing up for herself. When she finally left the mainstream industry, she felt passionate about supporting other creators to be empowered and protected with their content. The present: Now, Candice is an Investor & Co-Founder of an agency for content creators (both adult & mainstream) alongside her husband. Furthermore, with her newfound passion for health & wellness, she has been hosting, investing, and participating in wellness retreats that use psychedelics to improve her mental health, her wellness, and her relationships - as someone who has had a long journey of exploring the mind and connection to spirituality In this episode, Candice speaks about how can you secure your future and follow your passion. She talks about her experiences in the adult industry and how she made the shift to be aligned with what she wants to do in her life. Tune in as Candice talks about dealing with criticism, pressure and stress, OnlyFans, addiction to pornography and Hormone Replacement Therapy for women. [06:55] What can you do with dealing with criticism from other people? Candice had a lot of people cut her off and some people never bridged that gap, even certain family members. People are our mirrors, and how you present yourselves to one another reflects how you feel about yourself and your own journeys. If something makes us feel viscerally or strongly, it probably has more to do with us personally. The most significant people in Candace’s life still care about her despite her choices. She can screw up and they won't leave her. It's unconditional love and acceptance. [12:36] Do what is right from your heart and put everything you say into action. Candice was making decisions based on fear like, she has to keep shooting because of the scarcity mindset that she had around finances, and not truly believing that she could be successful on her own. Regardless of what industry you work in, no matter who you work for, it takes you to make a big bold move to understand your own worth. [19:04] OnlyFans: An effective way to make money while still treating your body and yourself with respect. There are creators on there that are not explicit at all. There are comedians, cooks, and personal trainers. You can make it whatever you want. If you do want to. There's probably 15-20 % that are operating aboveboard, but they're not trying to sell sex on any level. You can do it for whatever your business is, but if you are trying to do it even if it's not explicit, like bikini photos, or sexy glamour shots, it's a cool way to build an audience. You are 100% in control of what you show, what you shoot, and you own the content. [21:31] What does pornography actually do to your brain? Sex, porn, and gambling don't actually qualify as addictions if you actually have a brain scan and go through the list of criteria for what characterizes an addiction. Most of the people that are using that terminology have a very religious and undertone agenda to it. Don't look at it as a threat and use it as a tool to spice up your relationship. Sex and intimacy are inextricably connected. You have to work on intimacy. Men should do the work to still keep the romance within the relationship and women should also show up to be that sexy goddess. Whether it's porn, rom-com, or erotica, it will become a problem if you bring that entertainment into your life with the idea that it should reflect your reality. Therefore, it comes down to open and honest communication, asking your partner what they want while also being open and receptive to it, without putting any pressure on them to be the star. [36:55] The Many Benefits of a Daily Meditation Practice If you don't have 15 minutes a day to meditate, then you need to do it for an hour. It creates more time and energy. And if you do specific mindfulness meditations, it's five times more effective than sleep. [46:34] Hormone Replacement Therapy: A Valuable Tool for Women? Find someone reputable and professional that can help you, and you can play around with your hormones. It could be as simple as just putting on cream. Just because you're a woman doesn't mean that you shouldn't be taking your Hormonal Health into your own hands, because you absolutely can. Find a doctor that supports you, and whom you trust and take a look at where you are. AND MUCH MORE! Movement Over Exercise, How to Find Purpose in Life, Gratefulness, With Jeremy Abramson : KKP 48

Movement Over Exercise, How to Find Purpose in Life, Gratefulness, With Jeremy Abramson : KKP 48

Today, I am lucky to have here with me, Jeremy Abramson, the founder of the E3 Lifestyle brand. Jeremy Abramson's purpose in life is to cultivate community and create a lifelong impact on people's lives. After moving his entire life to Florida, overcoming being homeless, and losing what at the time he considered his dream job, he founded E3 Lifestyle.   The E3 Lifestyle brand combines Abramson's knowledge of the mind and body, with his passion for helping others. As the Chief Energy Officer, he is dedicated to helping others unleash their full potential. Abramson has received some of the most coveted certifications in the industry and studied alongside elite professionals like Wim Hof, Aubrey Marcus, Ben Greenfield, and Lewis Howes.   Today, Abramson travels the world, optimizing the health and happiness of athletes, government officials, youth, and high-level CEO's. His customized training, performance, and mindset practices bring out the full capacity and productivity of his clients. The most recent aspect of E3 brings wellness directly into the workplace. He has been brought in as a speaker by brands like WeWork, Capital One, and Miami Made to implement his wellness training programs and inspirational speeches.   As a philanthropist, he makes giving back a priority, talking to youth at several local nonprofit. In 2017, he partnered with Maison Fortuné Orphanage in Haiti and returned for a second trip the following year. As his business and digital following continue to build, his influence follows. In January 2019, he rolled out his first highly anticipated online program, CLIMB. The program aims to optimize your human experience through habit change and self-awareness. It has already been recognized as one of the most impactful coaching programs in the industry.   In this episode, Jeremy and I talk about what has inspired him to start the E3 lifestyle. First, Jeremy reveals how to navigate our self-limiting beliefs. These thoughts we tell ourselves usually come from our childhood. Recognize when these thoughts happen, and think about why this is a story you are telling yourself. Plus, Jeremy explains how to tell your family and friends about the ketogenic diet – especially those people who may not be completely supportive. He also describes the Stand Up 2 Sitting movement and how Jeremey is starting his nonprofit next month. Tune in!   Get Jeremy's FREE ebook: http://bit.ly/2Q2Xsmz   🎓 Become a member of The Keto Kamp Academy for exclusive access to these videos: www.ketokampacademy.com 🎓   [10:30] Jeremy Took a Chance on Himself Jeremy found himself so fascinated with all aspects of health. The last few years have been Jeremy putting in the time and effort to become more knowledgeable and meet more people. This is just the beginning for Jeremy.   [16:30] Navigating Self-Limiting Beliefs Mental health and mindset are kings. It is essential to step back and think about your childhood. Where did these self-limiting beliefs come from? We may not even be conscious of these thoughts we have been having. A typical example is your parents getting a divorce when you are nine years old. From that event, we start to tell ourselves so many different stories. We build perceptions, and we think they are the truth. People do not know they are capable of these great things. Build self-awareness as to why you are having these thoughts. Who are you spending your time with? If you are with people who are constantly complaining and bringing you down, that is what you are going to manifest.   [22:25] Getting Out of the Victim Role    Our struggles are part of our unique journeys. Adversity will manifest in our lives in some way. You will be able to connect on such a deep level with so many people. Find the silver lining – it’s all about perspective.   [24:30] Family Who is Unsupportive of Keto Give them the opportunity to understand. Tell them why you are trying the lifestyle and ask if they will support you on the journey. A lot of the time, they will still think you are crazy. Prioritize yourself – so many times we will put other people first. Fill your cup up first. If you feel terrible every day, how are you going to show up for other people? Small changes will profoundly manifest into bigger ones. Consistency is king. Jeremy doesn’t train that hard. He just lives a balanced life.   [30:30] Attitude and Enthusiasm   Jeremy has always had a childlike joy with a goofy sense of humor. There have been times where Jeremy has gone through struggles. He handled it by keeping them to himself. He credits his optimism to his dad, his biggest hero. His Dad always preached gratitude from a young age. He started giving Jeremy gratitude stones. If they ever came across a problematic situation – Jeremy’s dad would remind him of how lucky they are. Always treat people with respect and kindness. Sometimes, Jeremy does not do a good job at this. However, he still works on bringing good vibes to a room.   [40:00] Exercising on an Airplane Jeremy posted a video of him doing dips on the airplane and lunging down the aisle. Jeremy’s body was feeling stiff, and he needed to stretch. Some people hated his video – if he weren’t white, he would have been arrested. Street performers inspire Jeremy because they share their gifts with the world.   [43:45] Causes of Inactivity We spend eight or nine hours straight sitting. After work, we come home and relax. We could spend ten or twelve hours a day sitting. The seven areas of the world with the highest quality of life do not even workout. They are active throughout the day – they move every twenty minutes. Find alternative postures. Jeremy posts a lot of videos on this. Standup desks are trendy right now. They are not a great solution because if you are standing in a fixed position – it’s not that different than sitting all day. A ten-minute walk will do so much for you, especially outside. It can boost your creativity by up to sixty percent. Find someone to hold you accountable.   [50:40] Most Exciting Thing Jeremy is Working On Jeremy is launching a nonprofit next month. He is bringing fitness to urban areas – places where there might be poverty or crime. He wants to install bars to do pullups and do kid-like things. Jeremy wants to teach them simple things to move their bodies and have fun. He is starting in Miami then moving to South America. Jeremy is all about multiple impact streams. He wants to help the youth get strong and share some laughs.   AND MUCH MORE!   Resources from this episode: Visit Jeremy’s Website Connect with Jeremy Abramson: Twitter Instagram LinkedIn Email Jeremy: JA@E3LIFESTYLE.COM Call Jeremy: (650) 273-3672 Listen to Jeremy’s Podcast   🎓 Become a member of The Keto Kamp Academy for exclusive access to these videos: www.ketokampacademy.com 🎓   Free Keto Kickstart Guide: http://www.ketokickstartguide.com   This podcast is for information purposes only. Benefits of Saturated Fat, Best Time For Carbs, Dangers of Vegetable Oils With Brian Peskin : KKP 45

Benefits of Saturated Fat, Best Time For Carbs, Dangers of Vegetable Oils With Brian Peskin : KKP 45

Today, I am lucky to have here with me Prof. Brian Peskin, a world-leading scientist specializing in parent EFAs — termed PEOs — and their direct relationship to cardiovascular disease, cancer, and wound care (both traumatic and chronic).   Brian has always had one goal – to help people — regardless of personal sacrifice. But despite his integrity, Brian has suffered a lot of criticism and even slander as a reward for his hard work. Brian is not alone. Many other health researchers have also spoken the truth and were chastised for it.   Brian’s great genius is “connecting the dots” between established sciences that usually remain separated, and coupling his findings with real-life results. He combines theory with practicality in a very unique way. Even though Brian does not always take credit for the science he has studied – he is often only the messenger of the information already published in leading medical textbooks and medical journals — he has also been called a “quack.   Brian attended the world’s leading engineering institution, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he studied highly complex mathematics, engineering and physics, along with probability and statistics. He has also studied biochemistry and physiology. Brian’s various fields of study give him a unique systems perspective when applied to health and nutrition. Electrical engineering is an exact science.   In this episode, Brian and I talk about what inspired him to start scientifically looking at how foods affect our bodies. First, Brian reveals how his wife developed type 1 diabetes. Plus, Brian explains why we need to stop eating four to six times a day and the fact that we cannot physically overeat fat. He also describes the reasons why we should never consume fish oil. Tune in!   Join The Keto Kamp Academy! Special offer for the first 100 members. Learn More: http://www.ketokampacademy.com     [10:10] About Brian’s Wife Brian’s wife developed type 1 diabetes. Brian picked up a book to figure out what to do. He believes nobody, only science. Science says one thing, and society is doing the opposite. Brian says more people need to be writing the science.   [12:50] You Never Build on the Past in Medicine   In medicine, you don’t look into the past – it doesn’t exist; it all starts today. Medicine is looking at studies, not science. Studies are open to misinterpretation. Ask your doctor what the metabolic pathway that causes your health issue is. Pathways are science. If your doctor doesn’t know the pathway, then don’t believe a word they say. Brian uses science to talk about food.   [17:30] Solving Type 1 Diabetes   Brian could not bring back a pancreas. Stop eating 4-6 times a day; we are not meant to be a goat. People who don’t know what they are talking about are putting others on an awful path. The diabetes epidemic has to stop.   [19:45] Stop Eating Every 2-3 Hours Brian has no idea why people think they need to eat every 2-3 hours. Carbs are sugars. You get just as much fat eating complex carbohydrates. The pancreas does not store insulin very well. If you eat six times a day, you blow your insulin reserve. The pancreas doesn’t know how to react to you eating so frequently. Eating every two to three hours came from the food industry. How much sugar is in your bloodstream? Less than a teaspoon. Brian double checked, and it still came back to one teaspoon. This is why exercise became a second job for some people, to burn off all the access sugar we are intaking.   [24:30] One Teaspoon of Sugar If you eat carbs, you’ll be using the sugar when you exercise. However, you would rather your body burn the fat (unless you are running a marathon). Most people quit their training program because it doesn’t work, and they are being told the wrong thing from their trainer.   [25:30] What Time to Cycle in Carbs Early morning is the best time to eat carbs. You don’t want to eat carbs at night because your blood sugar will stay high all night. For every ounce of carbohydrates you eat, you will need three ounces of water. If you eat the carbs at night, most likely, you are not doing that much activity. Make sure the carbs are good, get the bang for your buck. You can add carbs later in the day if you are going to stay active. If you eat carbs and you feel horrible, you’ve overeaten.   [32:20] Eating Too Many Carbs Your body wants it back to normal, so it needs to get the sugars out of the body. Exercise your body to get rid of the sugar, or burn it by starving. Brian says he doesn’t want to store it to begin with.   [34:00] Eating Fats and Protein to Excess Brian says you can’t overeat fat because your body physically won’t let you. Your appetite will eventually go away, and you will no longer want to eat anything else. To get no carbohydrates is virtually impossible. If you eat just fats and proteins, none of that protein is going to fat. 58% of a steak is water after it’s cooked. 70% of that steak is burned up in digestion. Most people don’t know this and have never seen it in writing.   [36:30] Eating Steak with Ketchup You’ve introduced carbohydrates when adding ketchup to steak. You can have some carbs; you don’t need zero. For instance, if you want to have a sandwich, have one slice of bread. Carbohydrates are very cheap and inexpensive. Fats, proteins, and cheeses are expensive.   [38:00] How to Gain Fat Faster Fat does nothing on its own. Minimizing carbs is always the answer. The average person can be just fine with minimum carbs. Do not have a high carb meal after a fast. The smartest thing you can do is a steak coming off of a fast. Do not eat anything with carbohydrates.   [42:00] Never Use Vegetable Oil or Fish Oil Smoke 2 packs a day for 28 years, how many people will develop lung cancer? 16% of people will develop lung cancer. If you give processed oil to people, most people will develop heart conditions. Fish oil goes rancid immediately. Dermatologists don’t have a clue why skin cancer rates aren’t going down. Sometimes, dermatologists will even prescribe fish oil to their patients to clear acne. Fish oil destroys your immune system. Brian doesn’t even know what to say. The most pristine fish oil in the world, in moderation, is still wrong. Fish oil doesn’t help anything; it fails at everything!   [52:40] Organic Supplements   Organic isn’t better because of more vitamins; it’s because they lack a negative. Many supplements will have carcinogens in them. If we take carcinogens over a long period of time, we will end up with severe health problems. You want more Omega-6 in your supplements.   [57:15] Diet is More Important Than Exercise You don’t want your appetite going through the roof. With carbohydrates, you can’t exercise enough. You don’t start burning fat right away. At the tail end of a workout is when we will start burning fat.     AND MUCH MORE!   Resources from this episode: Visit Brian’s Website Connect with Brian Peskin: Facebook Twitter LinkedIn YouTube PEO Solution 24-Hour Diet Hidden Story of Cancer   Join The Keto Kamp Academy! Grounding: Reduce Inflammation, The Natural Blood Thinner | With Clint Ober : KKP 42

Grounding: Reduce Inflammation, The Natural Blood Thinner | With Clint Ober : KKP 42

Welcome to the Keto Kamp Podcast Episode 42 with Clint Ober!   Today, I am lucky to have here with me the CEO of EarthFX Inc. author, and someone who is continually working to spread awareness about grounding, Clint Ober.   Clinton Ober is CEO of EarthFX Inc., a research and development company located in Palm Springs. He first learned of grounding when marketing and installing Cable TV systems in Billings, Montana, in the early 1960s. A decade later, he formed Telecrafter Corporation and built it into the largest provider of cable installation services in the United States. This company specialized in the proper grounding of cable installations for safety and signal stability.   Following a health challenge in 1995, he retired and embarked on a personal journey looking for a higher purpose in life. During his travels, he noticed people wearing plastic and rubber-soled shoes that insulate the body from Earth. He wondered if no longer being naturally grounded could affect us.   The question led to an experiment that suggested grounding reduced pain and improved sleep. He developed a working hypothesis: Grounding normalizes the functioning of all body systems (Corollary: The body utilizes the Earth's electrical potential to maintain its internal electrical stability for the normal functioning of all self-regulating and self-healing systems).   Over the past twenty years, he has supported a host of research studies that collectively demonstrate that grounding reduces inflammation and promotes the normal functioning of all body systems.   In this episode, Clint and I talk about how grounding works and what the benefits are. First, Clint reveals his past health problems and what inspired him to start grounding. Plus, Clint talks about all the research and studies he has conducted over the past twenty years. He also describes the effects grounding can have on blood, sleep, and inflammation. Tune in!   This episode is sponsored by the world's healthiest coffee beans; Purity Coffee. When you connect anything to the Earth, it holds it at Earth’s potential; it reduces noise, fire, and charge. One day, Clint was having static problems. Intuitively, he wondered if the loss of contact with the Earth could be affecting his body. Everything in the body is electrical.   [12:45] Plastic Sole Shoes Clint says plastic sole shoes make us insulate ourselves from Earth. Insolating ourselves from the Earth is like not having enough oxygen. It became apparent that grounding people will make the pain go away.   [16:00] Electrical Surface Charge on Red Blood Cells When you touch the Earth, your body equalizes with the Earth. The red blood cells increase by a factor of 2.7 – an increase of 300%. Like little negative magnets, the cells repel each other – they can’t stick together. It prevents inflammation. As soon as you ground the body, inflammation disappears.   [18:00] Inflammation in the Body You can’t have pain unless you have inflammation first. Pain is a signal to the body and the brain that you have inflammation, and your body is on fire. Inflammation presents differently in various people based on their genetics and lifestyle. How does inflammation begin? If you have no access to electrons, your immune system will encapsulate the damage.   [22:20] Grounding with Nike Clint did work with Nike; whether it is true or not, Nike didn’t want to touch it. Nike said when people come into their stores and want a grounded shoe, they will start making a grounded shoe.   [23:00] Clint’s Health Problems Clint’s doctors revealed that he had an abscess in his liver. They said there wasn’t much they could do; he was young enough to get a new liver, but he didn’t have much time. When Clint woke up, he had no energy whatsoever because they cut out a majority of his liver. Clint could hardly get out of bed; it took him a week to walk to the kitchen and six months to make it one mile. It took less than one year for Clint’s liver to regenerate in size.   [26:00] The Definition of Grounding Grounding means returned to norma. In electrical terms, grounding means to be at Earth’s potential. The easiest thing to do is to take your shoes off and stand barefoot on the Earth. You can’t have inflammation on a grounded body. The hands and feet are equal; you can also put your hands on the Earth.   [29:00] Grounding Benefits While Wearing Leather Shoes If you are wearing moccasins, they can ground you almost instantly. Wearing shoes made from conventional leather will have no plastic in them whatsoever. The more you wear them means you will build up more salts and moisture in the shoes.   [30:10] The Most Surprising Benefit of Grounding The blood dramatically shifts; it changes. It’s hard to be upset or mad when your bare feet are on the ground.   [37:20] Grounding Effects on Cortisol During a study, everybody’s cortisol was way high in the morning and at night. The subjects would be fatigued during the day. After Clint grounded them, their cortisol levels evened out. At 4:00 am, your cortisol skyrockets – it’s what allows you to get out of bed in the morning. If you normalize cortisol, you will be able to sleep through the night. If your cortisol is elevated, you will not be able to sleep. Reducing cortisol means your sleep will improve. If you are living on the east coast timeframe, and you go to the west coast, your cortisol will be out of whack. By grounding, your jet lag will completely synchronize.   [42:00] Grounding After a Thunderstorm During a thunderstorm, there are electron imbalances. If you go to the top of a mountain and you’re grounded, then the atmosphere is positive, and the Earth is negative. The atmosphere is pulling electrons through your body like an antenna.   [44:35] Pets Benefit From Grounding Animals don’t have modern health disorders. All of the animals who live indoors with their owners have diseases like their owners. Once people began keeping horses in their barns, the horses started getting modern health disorders. People were no longer able to keep horses because of health issues.   [48:45] Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever! The book is published in 24 languages and digital format. It has never really been promoted; it’s just one of those books people share. This is the most important health discovery ever; the effects are so profound on our blood. If you have a health disorder, something is interfering with your immune system.   [52:45] How Long Should You Be Grounding The average person should be doing 30 minutes twice a day. Women need more grounding. If you have a health problem, you may need to ground for 16 hours a day.   [55:50] Grounding During Sleep You can put people on any program, but compliance is the toughest thing in the world. Grounding while asleep will make you a different person. Plus, you can put your sheets on over your grounding mat.     AND MUCH MORE!   Resources from this episode: Visit Earthing Institute The benefits of Earthing Watch The Earthing Movie Get your Grounding Products Designed Earthing: The Most Important Health Discovery Ever! by Clint Ober This podcast is for information purposes only.
