Talking Nutrition Science with Chef Eric Adjepong

Today we’re talking nutrition science with Chef Eric Adjepong, MPH. A finalist on Season 16 of Bravo's Top Chef, he delighted viewers with his passion for the culinary arts and nutrition. Chef Eric has bachelor’s degrees in Culinary Arts and Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales, one of the country's premiere culinary universities, and Master of Public Health in International Public Health Nutrition from the University of Westminster in London. Prior to launching Pinch & Plate with his wife Janelle, Chef Eric cooked in several Michelin-starred restaurants in New York. He has two cookbooks from Penguin Random House coming out in the 2022. The first, "Sankofa," is a cookbook that details the effects of the slave trade on food in the Southern United States, the Caribbean, and South America. The second one is aimed towards children to teach them about the food of the African diaspora. ◘ Related Content Chef Eric Adjepong's website http://www.chefadjepong.com/ Food & Wine: Top Chef’s Eric Adjepong Is Writing Not One, But Two Books https://www.foodandwine.com/news/eric-adjepong-two-books-sankofa U.S. Department of Agriculture's My Plate website https://www.myplate.gov/ Oldways African Heritage Diet https://oldwayspt.org/traditional-diets/african-heritage-diet ◘ Transcript https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/transcript-talking-nutrition-science-chef-eric-gw-office-of/?published=t ◘ This podcast features the song “Follow Your Dreams” (freemusicarchive.org/music/Scott_Ho…ur_Dreams_1918) by Scott Holmes, available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial (01https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/) license. ◘ Disclaimer: The content and information shared in GW Integrative Medicine is for educational purposes only and should not be taken as medical advice.
