'Our Songbird': The Disappearance of Kaylee Mae Nelson-Jerry

'Our Songbird': The Disappearance of Kaylee Mae Nelson-Jerry

Kaylee Mae Nelson-Jerry grew up loving gymnastics, journaling, church, and singing; she was very close with her family, who were deeply enmeshed in the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe's community and leadership in the Auburn, Washington area, where Kaylee lived. But after a catastrophic car accident, Kaylee's life irrevocably changed; she wasn't truly recovered when she graduated high school, and received her per capita trust fund. Her family says that's when things really began to go wrong—when the people who exploit Native teens and young adults for their money set their sights on Kaylee.

If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Kaylee Mae Nelson Jerry, please contact the Auburn Police Department tip line at 253-288-7403.

Season 21 focuses on family advocates and the effects of the MMIP— missing and murdered Indigenous people— crisis in the United States.
