How to catch a bird 🐩 with a Song - African Folktales Story

How to catch a bird 🐩 with a Song - African Folktales Story

Did you know you could catch a bird by just singing to it? This Episode is about three boys; Adamu. Yola and Gombe who wanted white parallel lines on their fingers and were able to get them by singing to the birds. The boys initially had tried to catch the birds by throwing stones at them but only succeeded when Adamu's Grandmother taught them how to catch a bird with a song. This story teaches amongst other things that sometimes the toughest or the most difficult situation actually has one of the simplest solutions in handling or resolving it. The song is in Yoruba Language and for the most part it is still sung today in the Yoruba speaking part of Nigeria, when birds are flying by kids. Remember, this story remains a fable my darlings. I hope you enjoyed tonight's story and I cant wait to hear what lesson this episode taught you, my darlings...Good Night! Story written and Narrated by 'Funmi Ogunde.
