Episode 38 - Heatwave

Episode 38 - Heatwave

“My whole thing was like I just wanna grow my neighbourhood, grow BC, grow Kelowna. Me just like creating this platform for all these kids to express themselves get their music out, look good for social media, and that’s good for them. Because some kids maybe only get to play like one show a year or two shows a year but a guy like me is lucky. I get to play multiple shows a year so if one show I don’t get to play but everybody had a great time and I had a great time and it was great then I got more shows in the new year its all good. You’re gonna see me again.” Heatwave is a rapper based out of Vancouver and CEO of Heatwave Multimedia. He’s travelled all across the world with artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Chris Brown, and Ice Cube just to name a few. With the success and notoriety he’s built over the years he’s created Heatwave Multimedia to allow new artists to flourish by providing a recording studio for everyone, avenues for touring and social media promotion. He ended up bringing a bunch of people to perform with him like Young Ivany and Nes Gone Global to the Black Box Theatre on December 22nd and it went on for so long that we ended up going to Denny’s for this interview which lasted till 2:30am. Anything to get it done you know? Anyway I hope you enjoy it!
