Ep. 1061 Francesco Mascini & Francesca Fiorentini | On The Road Edition With Stevie Kim

Welcome to episode 1061, another installment of 'On The Road Edition', hosted by Stevie Kim. Today’s episode is set at the Citari winery in the heart of Lugana DOC at the foot of Lake Garda. Here Stevie meets the wine producers Francesca Fiorentini and Francesco Mascini who will tell her the story of Citari and its line of wines. The official date when it was founded is 1975, but its story began quite some time earlier. It was in fact the grandfather, Francesco Gettuli, who purchased the estate, in an area that he knew well because he had spent time there as a child with his father, a farmer. Today it is his grandson Francesco who looks after the estate, with the support of his father, and the help of some long-standing colleagues: Simone Rigon and his father Bruno, assisted by Francesca Fiorentini.
