Ep. 820: 75 Years Young and Still Sailing Around the World - Revisited - Lin Pardey

Ep. 820: 75 Years Young and Still Sailing Around the World - Revisited - Lin Pardey

When Lin was tired of the “college type" guys that she was always surrounded by, she decided to get to know a couple of sailors as an outlet from the mundaneness of campus life. She quickly fell in love with one of the guys, Larry, who was completely different from the folks she spent her days in class with. Lin was eager to learn so he began to teach her how to sail.

Once she was comfortable on the water they began helping other folks deliver their boats around the area and they also began building their own. Not long after, the idea to live full-time on the 29-foot sailing vessel was born.

Fast forward 47 years, 210,000 miles, and 77 countries later and we have Lin now sailing around the world on her own and having written dozens of books about her and Larry’s epic life. Lin has a lot to teach us in today’s episode and I encourage you to check out her many books.
