Episode 136 - Awareness Beats Fast Draw: Surviving Terrorists in the Philippines with Enrique "Ric" Prado (Part 3)

IF YOU TRAIN RIGHT, YOU FIGHT RIGHT

This episode of the Fearless Mindset Podcast is the third part of our conversation with Enrique "Ric" Prado, Air Force paratrooper, CIA senior operations officer, and bestselling author of Black Ops. Ric shares a wild story of encountering the New People's Army, a terrorist group in the Philippines, and their infamous "Sparrows" who disappear after making hits in broad daylight.

He reveals just the tip of the iceberg of his adventures and sheds some light on the 90% of what people don't know about the work of Blackwater and the CIA. Ric talks about the push he got to start the book and how serving with giants keeps him humble despite his one-of-a-kind experiences in hot spots all over the world.

GOLDEN NUGGETS

Looking at his assassin in the eyes - Enrique: "Here's how I know these guys were who they were. If you're a civilian just minding your own business and all of a sudden you have a pistol pointed at you for no reason whatsoever, there's a reaction. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, what's going on? Is this, am I being robbed?"

"No, these guys never even winked. Here you have two guns pointed at you at 15 meters, and they just, the guy in the middle just kept looking at me and unbeknownst to me, Davis also. And I could read his mind, I'll get you next time."
