In 1977, at the age of 2, Nikole Betterson was involved in a car accident in Michigan with her mom and dad that killed her mom, Susan Klingel. Nikole's dad, Jarrett Betterson, showed up at Nikole's maternal grandparents just a few months later with another woman and claimed they were moving out west.
