The Guesthouse: Episode 230

The Guesthouse: Episode 230

Bridlington, on the north-east Yorkshire coast, is an attractive seaside resort also well known for shellfish. There are lots of B&B's, hotels and guesthouses dotted through the small town. But in July 2014, horror struck Bridlington when the owner of one guesthouse, Bei Carter, was murdered in her own establishment.

This week, on the UK True Crime podcast, I tell Bei's story.

A Gangster, A Celebrity & A Police Officer: Episode 379

Todays story is from Liverpool where a shooting outside a nightclub left a number of questions unanswered. Serious players in the underworld were loosely connected and did all they could to make the charges related to the shooting go away. Add to this mix an attempt to bribe a Police Officer and a 90's reality star and that is this weeks story on the UK True Crime Podcast. Watch the True Crime Podcasters Roundtable - February 2024https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XsBoMbcpEUFind out more about the UK True Crime Podcast:https://www.uktruecrime.comJoin me at Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/UKTrueCrimeJoin the UK True Crime Facebook Group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrimeBuy my book 'Gone Fishing' about serial killer Angus Sinclair:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gone-Fishing-Unsolved-Crimes-Sinclair/dp/1914277201SourcesTV stars, drug cartels and Merseyside's real Line of Duty cases - Liverpool EchoBBC News | UK | Ex-TV Gladiator and detective jailedBBC News | Entertainment | Portrait of a police forceDetective jailed for corruption loses most of pension | The Independent | The IndependentCorrupt Cop 5.mpg (youtube.com) https://www.independent.co.uk/news/senior-detective-risked-officers-for-bribe-from-britain-s-top-drug-baron-1200337.htmlhttps://www.theguardian.com/uk/1999/jan/10/10 Hosted on Acast.
