He does believe Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey are innocent of the murder of Teresa Halbach, and lays out the evidence that supports his claim. John has also been following Steven’s lawyer, Kathleen Zellner, and her law firm as they fight to have his conviction overturned and Steven freed from prison (which is documented in the second season of the Netflix series, "Making A Murderer"). Zellner gave John exclusive access to her the information and new evidence she’s uncovered through her own team of investigators and experts.
