Ep. 470: Riding a Bicycle to 48 States for Suicide Awareness - Daniel Hurd

Daniel has struggled with depression for years, even getting to the point he didn’t want to live anymore. After his most recent suicide attempt, he knew things needed to change, quickly. His friend decided to introduce him to bicycles. Little did they know, he'd soon fall in love with the freedom of riding and set out on a bicycle adventure to every contiguous US state to raise awareness for suicide prevention and to connect veterans, like himself, with each other and a greater sense of community. After 8 months on the road, Daniel has some incredible stories to tell as well as a new outlook on just how friendly complete strangers can be. I hope you enjoy our conversation and consider helping Daniel continue his journey. He’s probably going through your town! Keep it up, Daniel! Ep. 469: Glamping Hub Co-Founder - Ruben Martinez

Ruben Martinez wanted to do something that "forced" he and his friend to always be able to hang out. The idea they came up with? Glamping Hub, a travel booking platform similar to Airbnb, but for unique outdoor accommodations that give guests direct access to Mother Nature.  The idea grew! They went from around 8,000 listings a few years ago to nearly 40,000 today through their online platform.  I hope you enjoy our conversation about what Ruben's experience has been thus far with growing a company that connects thousands of people with the outdoors.  https://glampinghub.com/ https://www.instagram.com/glampinghub/?hl=en Save 20% off the best freeze-dried meals you’ll ever eat with Peak Refuel (@peakrefuel). Ep. 466: Breaking into the Ski Industry with Powder7 Founders/Owners - Jordan and Amy Jones

Leaving a great job with good benefits to start a company that's technically illegal to operate out of your apartment is a big jump at best, completely irrational and foolish at worst. Today, Amy and Jordan wouldn't have it any other way with building Powder7, considered one of Outside Magazine's Best Places to Work. This episode is filled with humor, insight, and adventure, like the time Jordan beat Lance Armstrong by an inch in a half-Ironman race. I hope you enjoy this conversation around life, business, and adventure sports!
