Jesus is a great example of this, as His unity with the Father and the Holy Spirit empowered Him to operate with authority and power. In the world, we see how teams working together in unity can achieve great things in business or sports. On the other hand, disunity can be destructive and hinder progress. This is why unity is essential, not only in worldly situations, but also in the church. When there is unity in the earth, it catches God's attention. As we find in this teaching with Pastor Alex Pappas, the unity demonstrated in building the tower of Babel was based on selfish motives, but the gift of speaking in tongues at Pentecost was given to unify the church and save the world.
