Ep 284: Learn to Love Dating Again as a Dating Goddess in Midlife After Divorce with Allison Jayne. This episode is geared towards women, but men can learn a lot about women and dating by listening in as well. Allison is a licensed social worker, therapist, EFT therapy practitioner, speaker, and author. She wrote her book from professional and personal experiences, including going through her own divorce and then entering the dating world as a middle-aged woman. We talked about the mindset shifts that need to happen in order to find a healthy partner and relationship women want. She talked about EFT Tapping, which is a therapy that people can also learn to do on themselves to help alleviate fears, phobias, and anxieties around dating (and anything). It's a simple technique that gets results, which have been proven via medical research and tests. What happens is the person touches acupressure points while thinking about the anxiety/fear/phobia and this helps the brain get into alpha brain waves, thereby zapping that panic zone away. It's a physical action/method of tapping that can be done anywhere and in the heat of worry/fear/panic. She shared how she's seen this tool works in her practice. She also shared how dating can be the greatest opportunity for self-discovery, and how to go about this using it as a tool to learn about oneself. She also gives suggestions for people entering the dating world again, how to get a boost of confidence, how to get over heartbreak, and how to gear yourself up for dating again. She also shared a bit about how women can become a Goddess in the bedroom. She has fabulous and very useful advice! The episode contains self-help, self-care, advice, & therapy ideas.
