Graciela Soto Perez – The JOYELY Podcast with Sheryl Lynn Episode 007 Graciela Soto Perez Graciela Soto Perez was raised in Woodlake, CA. She is the 3rd child of 4 children. Her parents were Migrant Farm Workers. Graciela harvested olives, grapes and oranges along with her family year-round from childhood to adolescent. She volunteered at Kaweah Delta Health Care District as a Candy Striper (Hospital Volunteers) in 8th grade, starting in their library then interpreting for the Spanish speaking population in the Emergency Room. The medical field was intriguing, and she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide during her High School years. Also obtained a Business certificate from the Tulare County Organization for Vocations Education (TCOVE) program. Graciela obtained a Bachelor of Art in Public Policy Planning and Development with a minor in Health Care Administration from the University of Southern California. Later obtained a Masters in Health Administration and Gerontology from the University of Southern California. She currently still holds this position. She serves as Board of Director for the Tulare Chamber of Commerce, the California Primary Care Association, Central Valley Health Network, Central Coast Health Network and ProYouth. She also sits as on the Advisory Board for the Tulare Pre Med Pathway Program for the Tulare High Schools and also sits on the Tulare County Medical Access to Care Committee.
