221. The DOUBTING Phase of Relationships No One Talks About

There's one stage of new relationships that no one talks about.

We try to pretend it doesn't happen. In fact, we do one better (or worse): we usually dip out of the relationship the second we enter this phase.

The first phase of any new relationship is the honeymoon phase…and it is POWERFUL.

That cocktail of hormones hits HARD. We're floating on cloud nine. All we see in front of us is our perfect, amazing partner. Everything they do is so cute and sweet and amazing…

Until it isn't.

Until one day, we wake up and notice every little thing about them that actually annoys us.

Welcome to the DOUBTING PHASE: the phase of relationships where we suddenly see the reality of our partner, not our hormone hopped-up perception of them.

The comedown hits even harder than the high. And unfortunately, this is where most people decide it's time to end the relationship, because "the magic" is gone.

This phase is normal. Everyone has it. But we need to change the way we approach the doubting phase…because if we bide our time and make it to the other side, what's waiting for us is a phase of love unlike any other.
