I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The World card, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The World card, when upright, is the final card of the Major Arcana, symbolizing completion, achievement, and the culmination of a significant journey. It represents harmony, fulfillment, and having come full circle. When reversed, The World's energy shifts to highlight unfinished business or a lack of closure just shy of completion. The reversed World card, suggests a time when you're close to reaching a goal, but something is holding you back. It's a call to reflect on what's preventing you from fully embracing your success or moving forward to the next chapter. So, what happens when The World Reversed appears in a reading? When The World Reversed appears in a reading, it's a sign to examine where you might be holding yourself back from completion or success. If you are feeling any fears, doubts, or unresolved issues, be advised that addressing these blocks will bring your journey to a satisfying conclusion. It may also indicate that you're avoiding closure in a situation, whether it's a relationship, project, or personal goal. The reversed World encourages you to take the steps needed to tie up loose ends and embrace a fresh start. What is the best way to memorize The World card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed World card experience is remembering all of those itty bitty details that must be wrapped up when you leave one opportunity for another.  I must ensure that my desk and tasks are up to date and handed off.  It is even more important that my employer feels things are tied neatly in a bow.  I ensure I do that on all contracts, but I always have fears and doubts that I missed something.  Ensuring any loose ends are taken care of makes the endings and new beginnings sweeter. That's all for today's episode. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Judgement card, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Judgment card upright represents clarity, renewal, and a call to step into your higher purpose. It's about awakening to truths, embracing accountability, and making decisions that align with your authentic self. When Judgment appears reversed, however, this energy is blocked or resisted. It may indicate self-doubt, avoidance, or fear of change. Judgment reversed often points to a time when you're struggling to hear your inner calling or feeling hesitant to take responsibility for your choices. It's a reminder to look inward and confront what's preventing you from fully stepping into your power. So, what happens when Judgement reversed appears in a reading? When Judgment reversed appears in a reading, it's a sign to reflect on where you might be avoiding accountability or resisting change. Consider if you are holding onto past mistakes or letting fear keep you from moving forward. This card suggests that by facing these types of challenges head-on, you can begin to realign with your purpose and goals. It may also indicate a fear of Judgment from others or yourself. The reversed Judgment card reminds you to approach yourself with compassion and to recognize that growth comes from accepting and learning from your experiences. What is the best way to memorize the Judgement card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Judgement card experience was truly embracing my spiritual side.  And truthfully, I am still working on it.  I got on this path in my twenties, but as a corporate girl, I have been discerning about who I shared my interests with.  Over the last 30 years, the world seems more open to concepts around energy and spirituality, but that wasn't always the case.  I found myself sharing this side of me with only a few people.  Deciding to put this podcast out into the world was a part of stepping out of the shadows.  Even with that, I have only recently begun sharing my face and voice on YouTube.  It's a process, and I appreciate those of you who have encouraged me, and I am so happy to be helping people learn and embrace tarot. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The Sun card, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Sun upright is one of the most positive cards in the tarot, symbolizing joy, clarity, and vitality. It represents a radiant sense of success and confidence, illuminating everything in its path. However, when The Sun appears reversed, its bright energy is somewhat muted. It suggests temporary obstacles, self-doubt, or an inability to embrace what's available. The reversed Sun often points to a time when you might feel disconnected from your sense of joy or clarity. It reminds us that even when clouds obscure the Sun, its light is still there, waiting to shine through. So, what happens when the Sun reversed appears in a reading? When The Sun reversed appears in a reading, it invites you to reflect on what's dimming your light. This card suggests that you can reconnect with your sense of clarity and joy by addressing these obstacles. The Sun reversed invites you to embrace a more compassionate and playful outlook, letting go of perfectionism and allowing yourself to enjoy simple pleasures. What is the best way to memorize the Sun card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Sun card experience was when I had many obstacles seeing the Sun in a situation.  I was working for a software company in 1998, and this company was before Y2K.  We had a number of stressed-out clients, and this was the first time I ever had a job with this much pressure.  The obstacle I had trouble overcoming with my Reversed Sun card situation was learning to cope with the pressure.  The majority of that experience was a sun upright for so many reasons.  It completely changed the direction of my career, for starters.  It was really where my training career started.  Further, at the time, training was done in person, so I traveled all over North America as a young woman for work.  My light dimmed because I couldn't see through the pressure. I was missing all of the experience I was gaining, and all the travelling I was doing, for free. Twenty five years later, I still reflect on that time as such an incredible opportunity. I still remember all of those wonderful places I got to see when travelling for work. Also, that work experience has set me up with contract work ever since. That's all for today's episode. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The Moon card, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Moon upright represents intuition, illusion, and the mysterious aspects of life. It invites us to navigate uncertainties and trust our instincts when clarity is hard to find. When reversed, The Moon shifts toward uncovering what hides, dispelling illusions, and gaining clarity in situations that previously felt murky or deceptive. The reversed Moon suggests a time when you're beginning to see things as they indeed are, breaking free from confusion or fear. It's an invitation to embrace clarity and face truths, even if they're uncomfortable. So, what happens when the Moon reversed appears in a reading? It's a sign to pay attention to what is revealed. The truths or insights that emerge can challenge your previous perceptions. This card suggests that embracing these revelations, rather than avoiding them, will lead to growth and clarity. It also points to confronting fears or anxieties that may hold you back. The reversed Moon invites you to step into the light of understanding, releasing old patterns of fear or self-doubt. So, what is the best way to memorize the Moon card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Moon card experience was when a truth was revealed about someone I was close to.  Unbeknownst to many of us, this person was splashed across the news, sharing that they were involved in organized crime.  The headlines and story attached to it sounded like something out of a movie, and this group of people were going to jail, including a female lifelong friend.  What??!!  None of us who knew her realized this person was into these illegal activities as a side hustle.  Our upright Moon was simply under the illusion that they primarily kept to themselves, and they appeared to have a problem with alcohol, drugs, or both.  When the Moon reversed, we saw the situation was much worse.  Unexpectedly worse.  This revelation challenged my previous perceptions, and to a certain extent, I mourned who I thought she was. I also accepted the clarity that she was, in fact, someone capable of much more than I thought. That's all for today's Moon Card Reversed episode. Remember, to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The Star card, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The upright Star is a card of hope, renewal, and faith in the future. It reminds us that healing and inspiration are always within reach, even after challenges. When reversed, The Star's energy can feel blocked or diminished. It may reflect a loss of faith, discouragement, or a sense of being out of touch with one's inner light. The reversed Star often appears during moments of self-doubt or when external circumstances seem overwhelming. It's a gentle nudge to reconnect with your sense of purpose and to trust that brighter days are ahead, even if they're not immediately visible. So, what happens when The Star reversed appears in a reading? When The Star Reversed appears in a reading, it's a sign to examine where you may feel disconnected or discouraged. Suppose you are losing sight of your goals or struggling to see a way forward. In that case, this card reminds you that there is always an opportunity to find renewal and inspiration, even in challenging times. It may suggest a need to nurture yourself. The reversed Star encourages you to focus on self-care, allowing time to rest and recharge to reconnect with your inner light. So, what is the best way to memorize The Star card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Star card was when I moved from my parent's home in Ontario to Western Canada when I was 19.  The first year I was there, I had a lot of trouble making friends.  I was a nanny and didn't have a car, so I spent a lot of time in the home taking care of three children.  Outings with the kids were limited to parks in the area that we could walk to.  I was lonely and isolated, and I felt like it was Groundhog Day every day.  Even though I wasn't into tarot cards back then, I needed to recognize the energy of the Star Reversed and get back to why I moved across the country.  I found myself back in the Star Upright by taking control of the situation.  I started volunteering after hours to try to meet people.  I also contacted the nanny agency that placed me and asked if any other nannies were interested in play dates with their kids.  These actions started turning that Star card upright. That's all for today's Star Card Reversed episode. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Tower Upright is a powerful card of sudden change, upheaval, and the breaking down of old structures. It's about dramatic shifts that shake us to our core, often clearing the way for new growth. When The Tower appears reversed, this energy becomes more internal or resisted. It may point to a fear of change, or an avoidance of disruption going on in your life. The reversed Tower often suggests that a significant internal shift is occurring while the external chaos may not be obvious. It's a call to pay attention to the changes and embrace the process, even if it feels uncomfortable. So, what happens when The Tower reversed appears in a reading? When The Tower reversed appears in a reading, it's a sign to reflect on what changes you might resist. Sometimes, it can indicate a fear of letting go or avoiding a brutal truth. This card suggests that it's time to confront these areas with courage and openness, knowing that the discomfort of change often leads to freedom and renewal. It can also indicate that you're undergoing a subtle but profound transformation. Even if it's not obvious to others, these internal shifts pave the way for a new chapter. The reversed Tower encourages you to trust this process, even if it feels uncertain or challenging. So, what is the best way to memorize The Tower card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Tower card moment is changing my habits to manage my health and weight.  The difficult truth I had to face was that I wasn't doing what I needed to do to make the changes I wanted to make.  I made a lot of lifestyle upgrades in 2024, and I am focusing on consistency with those habits.  But I was slow to get behind my self-care.  I still have a long way to go. Still, I am super aware of the years I was in a Reversed Tower, telling myself I was making changes when I was only dabbling in taking steps to improve my health. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet. Here is my YouTube Channel video for interpreting cards in Three Card Spreads: https://youtu.be/P8En-8-8njk?si=7LIlOsFv9pNZ9iK7 Here is the transcript:Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring The Devil card, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Devil upright represents temptation, bondage, and the shadow aspects of our lives such as addictions, fears, and unhealthy attachments. When reversed, The Devil takes on a more liberating energy. It suggests that you recognize what's been holding you back and take steps to free yourself from those chains. The reversed Devil is a card of empowerment. It indicates you're ready to confront your fears, let go of limiting beliefs, and reclaim control over your choices and actions. So, what happens when The Devil reversed appears in a reading? The Devil reversed can also point to a fear of fully letting go. You may know what needs to change but feel hesitant about taking the final steps. This card encourages you to trust the process and understand that the freedom you seek is worthwhile. Sometimes, the reversed card may indicate subtle influences still lingering in your life. Even as you make progress, there may be remnants of old patterns that need attention. The Devil reversed invites you to continue the work, knowing that even small steps lead to meaningful transformation. So, what is the best way to memorize The Devil card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Devil card moment was choosing to move to contract jobs instead of employee roles. I felt all the fear and uncertainty but I kept taking those small steps toward my goal, until I arrived.  An example was calling business schools to learn how to get on their rosters.  I wasn't doing that all day long, but that is an example of an action I took, instead of sitting in fear and losing time doing research.  I just started making steps until I started getting jobs.  Eventually, I got busy. That's all for today's Devil Card Reversed episode. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Temperance card, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed.Temperance upright symbolizes balance, patience, and the art of harmonizing different elements. It's about finding peace through moderation and embracing a steady, mindful approach to life. When Temperance appears reversed, however, this harmonious energy becomes disrupted. It suggests imbalance, or a lack of coordination. The reversed Temperance card often points to a time when life feels out of sync. Potential causes can be making rushed decisions, or having difficulties finding a middle ground with someone. This card can be a message for you to pause, reassess, and restore your equilibrium. So, what happens when The Temperance reversed appears in a reading? When Temperance reversed appears in a reading, it's a sign to reflect on areas where you may be out of alignment. This card suggests taking a step back to assess what's causing this imbalance and how you can restore a sense of flow in your life. It may also indicate struggles with cooperation or compromise. If you're facing conflicts or miscommunication, the reversed Temperance card reminds you of the importance of finding common ground and approaching situations with patience and understanding. So, what is the best way to memorize the Temperance card in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Temperance card moment was when I found myself working on a team where I was definitely feeling out of place.  I was hired as an instructional designer, and I had someone on the team assigning me graphic design work, which is not in my realm of genius.  I am a strong junior in Photoshop and a weak junior in Illustrator, but I am a darn good technical writer and course creator.  Even though I explained that I could try to help, it wasn't my expertise; it created tension and a misunderstanding that I didn't want to do the work.  Once the person took the time to listen and understand that I wanted to help but that the assignment was outside my expertise, there were many apologies. Until then, I had to keep my composure until we got there. That's all for today's Temperance Card Reversed episode. Remember, to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot.
