What is Change Management Part 3 – How does the parent apply “Change Management” when their child is changing school? Transition Stage Example

You have to break these two words into two to simplify the understanding of what change management is.

Change = Vision = Change from primary to Secondary School or High School

In order to add value to the change management you need to get an understanding of

1. What is the actual change

2. Why is the change required?

3. Who does it impact? Your child

4. What is the impact on the stakeholders? New friends, new school, new teachers, to travel route e.t.c

5. How is it going to impact the stakeholders? Scared, nervous, excited, worried, no idea yet.

Ultimate goal of the above is for you to gain understanding of the change initiative to help you add value for the next step of management of the transition for child from primary to secondary school.

Management = Management of the people (your child) participating and impacted by the change

Upon completion of setting the goals required to the achieve the vision. This is simply the management of the people (your child) and impacted stakeholders to complete the change activities required for successful adoption.

How do you manage your child transition from primary to secondary school to mitigate change resistance?

1. What is in it for them (your child and yourself)?

2. How do you gain their continued support and engagement?
