Relationship Management: It’s 4 of 4 “Emotional Intelligence” components. The ability to MAINTAIN, influence (positively), inspire, create meaningful and value adding relationships both at work and personal life. This skill requires time and on-going effort and genuine build of care and trust about those your work with.

REMEMBER, this is the same for friends and families. Ok, with family it can be tricky… but at work and as a leader this is core and essential to your ongoing success and leadership as you need to work with people to achieve the success, for the team, company and yourself. “Their success is your success”.

• Self-Awareness + Self-Management +Social-Awareness= Relationship-Management

You need to consider how people may react to what you have to say and relate to you going forward. Read the room and gauge the emotions and think about how you deliver the message.

Remember, you have to work with these people and you need them and you cannot achieve the vison alone and therefore have to create a working relation relationship.

Effective and successful leaders work for the team and not themselves.
