Season 5: Episode 06: Marco Pierre White

Season 5: Episode 06: Marco Pierre White

This is a biggie!! All cards on the table, the question sheets have been ripped up. I went up to The Rudloe Arms and spent a day with the man, the myth, the legend, Mr Marco Pierre White, and all I can say is that it was one of the most profound experiences of my life. His generosity and honesty throughout our chat, as well as the day spent together is something I will never forget. He talks about his humble beginnings in Leeds and tragic loss of his mother at such a young age, his life as a chef and the reputation that came with it. And he expresses his love and admiration for the great Anthony Bourdain, also my biggest inspiration in life.Marco is a unique character; he’s a romanticist. And the structure of this recording is like none of my other episodes, and that’s why it will go down as one of the greatest moments in my career. You’re in for a treat. Grab a glass of wine (that’s what we did), put your feet up and enjoy the illustrious tones of the man himself.PSA: There is a lot of swearing, a lot of drinking and a lot of smoking.@marcopierrewhit@crazysexyfood@hannahharleywww.crazysexyfood.comMusic by @casnova____This season is sponsored by Gorillas, the sexy grocery delivery app revolutionising online shopping. Season 5: Episode 05: Remi Nicole

This week the lovely Remi Nicole joins me, at my house, for a good ol’ chinwag! The musician and screenwriter is back in London after 10 years in LA, via Mexico – where we have a great discussion about one of my favourite cuisines!Remi is of mixed heritage: Trinidadian, Austrian and Jewish. She went to a Jewish school in London where she had to deal with questions about how she could be Jewish and black; questions that never seemed to stop. This topic followed her into the music industry where she discusses her experience in the industry and the challenge she faced making what she calls “white music” and execs not knowing what to do with her.We bond over the insane food in LA, her new project The Happiness Collective and why chips are a very important food not to be messed with!@remcam@crazysexyfood@hannahharleywww.crazysexyfood.comMusic by @casnova____This season is sponsored by Gorillas, the sexy grocery delivery app revolutionising online shopping. Season 5: Episode 04: Pierre Koffmann

Season 5: Episode 04: Pierre Koffmann

I think my time with Pierre Koffmann has to be up there with some of the pinch me moments of my career. It’s fair to say that he is a living legend and I not only got the chance to record with him for the podcast, but was also asked to join him for lunch afterwards with his lovely wife, Claire! We recorded at the fabulous Spanish restaurant, Arros in London and talked all about the BBC’s Maestro that he’s just recorded, where we get to learn all about the techniques of French cooking via the man himself! We discuss the evolution of palates and tastes from traditional dishes to food from all over the world and he admits what a tough chef he was… so much so that he was nicknamed “The Bear”!This was a day I won’t forget and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!@pierre.koffmann@crazysexyfood@hannahharleywww.crazysexyfood.comMusic by @casnova____This season is sponsored by Gorillas, the sexy grocery delivery app revolutionising online shopping. Season 5: Episode 03: Dan Saladino

Season 5: Episode 03: Dan Saladino

Dan Saladino is one of those rare gems you meet who really change your outlook on life. The journalist and broadcaster, best known for fronting BBC Radio 4’s The Food Programme knows everything there is to know about food.He has a new book out “Eating to Extinction: The World’s Rarest Foods and Why We Need to Save Them”, which details unbelievably interesting stories about some of the most endangered foods around the globe, such as a wheat found in Turkey, a particular honey found in Tanzania, and something we all know about – wild Atlantic salmon. His Italian heritage played a huge part in his youth, and Dan speaks so eloquently about his childhood summers in Italy. This led us onto the all-important topic of pizza and what should and shouldn’t be on a pizza!I could have spent hours with Dan, but this episode perfectly encapsulates him and his wonderful world of food!@dan.saladino@crazysexyfood@hannahharleywww.crazysexyfood.comMusic by @casnova____This season is sponsored by Gorillas, the sexy grocery delivery app revolutionising online shopping. Season 5: Episode 02: Matt Tebbutt

Season 5: Episode 02: Matt Tebbutt

Who doesn’t love Saturday Kitchen?! It really sums up the weekend for me, coffee in hand, on the sofa as Matt Tebbutt hosts guests and chefs and talks all things food.Well, I finally got Matt over to mine – he was a little hungover and asked for a Ribena (legend) and he opened up about his career as a chef working for Marco Pierre White and for himself, as well as the time Marco fired him!He really opened up about his life in food, the influences in his life and the journey he took to get where he is today. This was genuinely one of the best conversations I’ve had to date!@matt.tebbutt@crazysexyfood@hannahharleywww.crazysexyfood.comMusic by @casnova____This season is sponsored by Gorillas, the sexy grocery delivery app revolutionising online shopping.
