Bavarian Podcast Works: Postgame Show – Bayern Munich 1-0 Union Berlin (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich and Union Berlin hooked up for a very testy makeup game, which saw the Bavarians prevail 1-0. It was hard to pinpoint many flaws from Bayern Munich as the Rekordmeister was dominant in nearly every aspect of the match — except for the scoreboard. Let’s take a look at what we have on tap for this episode: A look at Thomas Tuchel’s starting lineup and the differences between this match and how Tuchel aligned the squad last weekend vs. Werder Bremen. A rundown of the subs and scoring (this game felt like Bayern Munich should have scored more goal, right?). Raphaël Guerreiro took advantage of his opportunity didn’t he? Some thoughts on why the game was a dominant effort, but somehow left us feeling a little unfulfilled. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices Hosted on Acast. Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Bayern Munich vs. Union Berlin (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich has a quick turnaround after its 1-0 loss at the hands of Werder Bremen. The Bavarians are in desperate need of a victory after dropping points over the weekend and it would seem — on the surface — that Union Berlin would be the perfect opponent. Sitting in 15th place Union Berlin has been a mess for most of the season, but is unbeaten (win over FC Köln, draw with SC Freiburg) in its last two games. The Iron Ones were supposed to play Mainz 05 last weekend, but weather conditions postponed that match-up, which probably leaves them fresh to face the Bavarians. Here is what we have on tap for this episode: A look at where each team is in the table. Some thoughts on Bayern Munich’s loss to Werder Bremen, the state of team under Thomas Tuchel, and why things could be falling apart. A prediction on the match. Learn more about your ad choices. Bavarian Podcast Works S6E28: Bayern Munich MUST sack Thomas Tuchel to save the season and here’s why (Rant incoming)
That was shameful, and it’s only going to get worse. Bayern Munich just lost to Werder Bremen for the first time since 2008, and you really cannot blame anyone except Thomas Tuchel. People will argue against this, but at this point there’s nothing to argue against. The coach has his team playing some of the most diabolical football possible right now, and the results aren’t even what they used to be. This gives us plenty to talk about on the podcast, but we’re not happy about it. In this episode, INNN tackles the following: The lineup: Why bench Thomas Müller AGAIN? The return of the U-shaped system. Harry Kane is not playing like a striker and that has consequences for everybody. Jamal Musiala is wasted in this system. Leroy Sané is not playing better on the left and Tuchel is causing havoc by letting him. A mini-rant about Müller which you’ve probably heard before, but it needs repeating. The midfield doesn’t work and here’s why. What does Guerreiro even DO? How Alphonso Davies has been made redundant by the current Bayern system. Dayot Upamecano has too many responsibilities and that’s a problem. A question for the board and their failures — why is Konrad Laimer the starting RB? Why doesn’t the board want to invest in the squad? Why shouldn’t the board sack Tuchel? It would be in the team’s best interest. Who might take over — a shortlist. A final word and outro, plus a short preview of the Union Berlin game. Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works: Weekend Warm-up Season 3, Ep 28 — Do or die time for De Ligt at Bayern Munich?; Müller is the mentality monster; Wirtz news; Wrapping up Fargo + Marvel chatter; & MORE!
Bayern Munich is in the middle of a solid run on the pitch and has been thrust into the craziness of this winter transfer window by being linked to what feels like a dozen names. Clearly, there is a lot going on and much to talk about when it comes to the Bavarians. Let’s get right to it: This is really “do or die” time at Bayern Munich for Matthijs de Ligt. Thomas Müller might have the best outlook and attitude of any athlete (and unfortunately, he will probably need it as this second half goes on). Florian Wirtz might cost an insane amount. The story of the demise of the relationship of Robert Lewandowski and Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich seems on-point. Thoughts on the season finale of Fargo, an update on where I stand with the Marvel Odyssey. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices Hosted on Acast. Bavarian Podcast Works S6E27: Is Bayern Munich making the wrong moves in the winter transfer window? + Kimmich, Davies, and other futures discussed + A note on Der Kaiser
We’re back and so is Bayern Munich — on the pitch at least. In the transfer window, the club seems a bit stuck. Only one winter transfer has been confirmed so far, and while Eric Dier is a quality depth piece, he’s not exactly a blockbuster signing. Also, tragedy struck last week as the club lost its biggest ever legend. It’s still hard to process that, but we will try to address it. In this podcast, INNN and Samrin talk about the following: What do we think of Bayern Munich’s winter transfer business so far? Is Eric Dier and (potentially) Nordi Mukiele enough for the team? Why does Bayern Munich seem to want a complete paradigm shift in the squad? Is that why the club is saving money? Joshua Kimmich might want to leave this summer now. Is Alphonso Davies really ready to move to Real Madrid? How other players — Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, etc. — could all be on the move in the summer. Why is Thomas Tuchel been given this much power in squad planning? End note: Our thoughts on the passing of Der Kaiser. Bavarian Podcast Works: Postgame Show – Bayern Munich 3-0 Hoffenheim (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich got off to a winning start for the second half of the season as it downed Hoffenheim 3-0 in a match that was sometimes frustrating for fans of the Bavarians. Defensively, Bayern Munich was very solid for most of the match, but did — perhaps — get a little lucky. Attacking-wise, Bayern Munich left something to be desire for portions of the game, but did manage to look sensational at other points. Let’s see what Marcus and Chuck have to say about the match. Here is what we have on tap: A look at the starting XI, which saw Leon Goretzka sent to the bench in favor of Raphaël Guerreiro. A rundown of the scoring and substitutions. Takes on how Bayern Munich played, what was good...what needs some work. Why Hoffenheim was a tough match-up and could surprise some people in the second half of the season.
