Deconstructing Christians Who Stay

Deconstructing Christians Who Stay

Meet your hosts, The Rev. Laura Di Panfilo and The Rev. Lizzie McManus-Dail -- whom you might have seen while scrolling on TikTok or Instagram doing silly dances and talking about the life-giving love of God. Neither one of us grew up Episcopalian and yet both of us have found a home in this faith after walking away from traditions that did not always speak life over us. It turns out it isn't that ironic to be a priest and be a deconstructing Christian! We're always learning and decolonizing and dismantling systems of oppression ... just in the name of Jesus.

And, we know how disorienting it can be for people who are new to liturgical Christianity or who have never known there was another, faith-full way to follow Christ. Enter: And Also with You!

Re-run: How Do We Talk About Jesus on the Cross with Kids?!

Re-run: How Do We Talk About Jesus on the Cross with Kids?!

The crucifixion was a grisly way for Jesus to die, and yet, his death is an enormous part of our faith. How do we talk about this with kids? Is it inherently shoving something down their throats? Will...

Wait ... did you know "the rapture" is something that this dude named John Nelson Darby came up with in the 1800s after he fell off of his horse? And then it was popularized in the aftermath of WWI be...

What is Mercy?

What is Mercy?

Recently, national news was made by an Episcopalian asking for mercy.  Many of us were deeply moved by her words and yet, many people were enraged by them.  This dissonance suggests that there are dif...
