How Sustainable Finance Can Help Save the Planet with Adrian Sargent

We’re diving into the world of sustainable finance on this episode of The Treasury Career Corner podcast with the Founder and Managing Director of ESG Treasury, Adrian Sargent.

Adrian has had a varied career to date in various senior roles in treasury across financial services from challenger banks to the largest asset manager in the world. He has worked at a number of financial services companies (Morgan Stanley, HBOS, Tesco Bank, BlackRock, Virgin Money) and has extensive experience in building, developing and managing treasury teams. He is a chartered accountant and currently studying for the Association of Corporate Treasurers Advanced Diploma in Treasury Management.

Now, the time has come for Adrian to put his skills and knowledge to good use and deliver sustainable solutions for his clients through his treasury advice and consultancy company, ESG Treasury. Whether clients need treasury advice, help to move towards a sustainable economy or they want to take full advantage of sustainable finance – ESG Treasury helps them every step of the way.

Through their experience and insight, ESG Treasury can help any treasurer, CFO or CEO and cover any location and sector. They can help Treasury in three ways:

1. Short to medium assignments focused on specific items that take between 5-10 days
2. Medium to long term assignment, covering more areas and working with companies and banks/financial institutions to develop and embed the correct operating model and all that entails
3. Long term partner – regular engagement providing oversight and guidance, acting as part-time Treasurer/Board advisor, more akin to Non-Executive with specialist Treasury experience.
