Embracing Change and Trying New Things in Treasury with Mattijn Bak

Besides qualifications, skills, and finance experience, what else is useful for a treasury career?

In this episode of The Treasury Career Corner podcast, I’m joined by Mattijn Bak, Group Treasurer at Vion Food Group. Mattijn is a big believer in travelling to new places, embracing change, and trying new experiences. He says this is all key to developing a fulfilling treasury career. He shares stories of his globe-trotting treasury career, spanning from the Netherlands to Vietnam.

Mattijn is an experienced treasurer with a history of working in the food production industry. He’s skilled in Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Managerial Finance, and Working Capital Management.

Mattijn previously worked at Sperwer Group as a treasurer and gained treasury experience at Nutreco, Friesland Campina, and ING Bank. He obtained a Master’s in Law from Maastricht University and a Master’s in Financial Management (MiF) at Tias Nimbas Business School.
