10. My Mom Part 5

10. My Mom Part 5

Today's episode is going to be a continuation of my mom's story. When my mom’s oncologist told us that she was terminally ill, I know for a fact that at some point, we will not stay forever in the hospital. She would either enter a nursing home or we would return to our home. Fortunately for my mother, she was employed by a nearby nursing home that was from a rehab and she had a choice to go there. And that’s where the dilemma starts.

“I just had to take a deep breath. And say, in front of all these people that were not only her coworkers, but her friends to say my mom's ultimate plan is to pass away. There is no “she's coming home after this”, there is no “she's magically going to be better”. That's just not a possibility.”

In this episode, I will talk about:

  • The part five of my mother’s story
  • Demanding an evaluation
  • It was hard to tell them that but I explained more of the situation about how the cancer had spread and that there was no coming back from it
