Our Verdict on Lena Dunham’s Too Much: Are We So Back Or Is The Rom Com Not Good Enough?

Our Verdict on Lena Dunham’s Too Much: Are We So Back Or Is The Rom Com Not Good Enough?

We're back from our (unplanned, sorry!!) break with a big one. Lena Dunham has returned to television with a Netflix series that many online are claiming to be as good as - or even better than - Girls, the much lauded HBO show that launched her career. Conversely, critics are writing scathing reviews for broadsheets about the portrayal of romance, women and London in the show. But which is it? And are our hosts impressed with the Megan Stalter fronted romcom?

This week, Ione and Gina get to grips with whether Too Much is hot or a flop: exploring the representation of class dynamics, the acclaim the series is receiving for fat representation, and questioning why Jess, the show's lead, has absolutely zero mates.

Dispatches From The Kardashian Simulacrum: The Narratives Are Imploding In On Themselves

As season four premieres, the show itself has finally become its own character - with Kourtney and Kim continuing their fight into the new season by drudging up past drama via edits of The Kardashians. As American Horror Story kicks off with Kim in a starring role; it seems as though the Kardashians are finally unveiling who they are - cosmetic surgery, forced storylines and more. MJ and Marie sit down to dissect both shows, both in relation to each other, and individually.Catch up with season one of our brand new podcast series if you missed it! The sisters are back! Before season four of The Kardashians premiers next week, MJ and Marie are sitting down to discuss their new approach to this season; focusing on the Kardashian world as a whole, rather than recapping episode by episode.
