Author and journalist Melanie Dimmitt’s life changed when her son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. But, her story isn't a sad one

When I tell you that journalist and mother of two Melanie Dimmitt’s son has cerebral palsy, what kind of life do you imagine? Do you imagine someone that’s a bit angry at the world, do you picture their life at home to be a little sad?
