Welcome to the first-ever episode of Dating Diaries—a brand new monthly series where we unpack the wild, wonderful, and often confusing world of dating… starting right here in Dubai.

Once a month, alongside our usual interviews, we’ll dive into dating stories, personal experiences, red flags, green flags, heartbreaks, lessons, and those hilarious “did-that-just-happen?” moments we’ve all had (or heard of).

To kick things off, I’m joined by returning guest and dating confidante Lo. We chat about dating in big cities like Dubai, the phenomenon of social atrophy in today’s dating world, ghosting, communication struggles, and our personal takes on how we actually like to be approached by men (spoiler: confidence and intention matter).

And yes, we also share our experience trying speed dating for the first time—what worked, what didn’t, and what we learned.
