Episode 29: Victor Osimhen scores 3 goals in 2 games vs Leicester & Udinese to kickstart season!

In this episode of the podcast, I ran through how our Super Eagles players performed in the top European leagues over the weekend including Victor Osimhen getting off the mark for the season with a brace on Thursday in the Europa League against Leicester & also getting off the mark in Serie A with the opening goal in Napoli’s 4-0 thrashing of Udinese to go top of of the league with maximum points after 4 games. Emmanuel Dennis was also back in form scoring a brilliant header to open the scoring in Watford’s impressive 3-1 win away to Norwich City

In Belgium, Paul Onuachu notched his 6th goal of the season after scoring in successive games this past week including a 90th minute winner away to Rapid Wien in the Europa League on Thursday while also scoring an 83rd minute winner in the league away to STVV. Cyriel Dessers also scored his 1st goal of the season for Feyenoord as they romped to an impressive 4-0 win away against PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Eredivisie

Moses Simon also continues to be the chief creator in Ligue 1 after getting 2 more assists over the weekend in a 4-1 away win to Angers to take his tally to 5 for the season already

In international news, the Super Falcons beat Mali 2-0 on Wednesday in their 1st game of the Aisha Buhari Cup and they face off against South Africa in the final game of the tournament this Tuesday.
