Episode 33: Victor Osimhen & Taiwo Awoniyi continue hot goalscoring streak!

I ran through how our Super Eagles players performed in the top European leagues over the weekend including Victor Osimhen continuing his excellent form with the winning goal on Sunday in Napoli’s 1-0 win over Torino to make it 8 wins from 8 games in Serie A so far & taking his club tally to 8 for the season including 5 in Serie A while Simy Nwankwo also scored his 1st Serie A goal of the season for his new club Salernitana in their 2-1 loss away to Spezia

In the Bundesliga, Taiwo Awoniyi scored his 6th goal of the season in Union Berlin’s 2-0 win over Wolfsburg over the weekend & Chidera Ejuke scored the winner for CSKA Moscow in their 1-0 win over Ural in the Russian league to continue his excellent start to the season

Samuel Chukwueze made his long awaited 1st appearance of the season for Villarreal coming on as a 78th minute sub for Arnaut Danjuma in their 2-1 loss at home against Osasuna while Kelechi Iheanacho got an assist in Leicester’s 4-2 win over Manchester United on Saturday in the Premier league

In international news, the Super Falcons host Ghana this Wednesday in the 1st leg of their AFCON & World Cup qualifier with the 2nd leg taking place on Sunday
