This is a part of an ongoing workshop Howard is a part of called the Big Book Comes Alive, (if you would like to attend he provides an email addy). This meeting is a Zoom meeting from July 2022 hosted by the Chandigarh meeting in India. This ends a bit abruptly as he is wrapping up. ESH: Pappy B experienced detoxing in a Japanese POW camp and won the CMH
Pappy B was a member of the Flying Tigers, he was awarded of the Congressional Medal of Honor and he unfortunately got to experience detoxing in a Japanese POW camp after being shot down during WWII, he spent 20 months there. He is telling his story in San Francisco in Oct of 1958 at an unknown event. His WWII story was also made into a TV show back in the 70's. Repost from early 2020. This recording has a harsher tone to it as many older recordings do, I was able to get the background hum out but then again... 1958.
