Gene Simmons is no longer the fire-breathing, platform shoes-wearing bass player for KISS. After the band's final performance in December 2023, Gene has been leading the Gene Simmons band through European festivals and American theaters and venues far smaller than a typical KISS venue. Still, as Gene explained, touring with a four-piece band and a skeleton crew can be financially lucrative.
