Claudia Hollingsworth ran 1:57.67 to set the new 800m National Record at the Silesia Diamond League, with Abbey Caldwell running 1:57.70 also under the old record. Catriona Bisset, the previous national record holder, ran a season best of 2:00.64 with the race won by Keeley Hodgkinson in 1:54.74.

Linden Hall ran 3:56.69 in the 1500m for a personal best by .01 of a second and Sarah Billings running 4:05.78, with Guduf Tsegay of Ethiopia winning in 3:50.62. Faith Kipyegon ran the second fastest 3000m of all time in 8:07.04, with pacing from Jess Hull. Brad ticks the legs over and gets into pace for Melbourne Marathon. Brimin Kipsoi of Kenya won the Sydney Marathon in a course record time of 2:06:1:, Workenesh Edesa Gurmesa also broke the course record in 2:21:41. Australian Marathon Championship was won by Tom Do Canto in 2:17:53 and Gemma Maini om 2:40:45 Ed Goddard and Leanne Pompeani won the 10km race. Sydney Marathon Results Jessica Hull won the 1500m bronze medal at the Brussels Diamond League Final in 3:56.99 behind winner Faith Kipyegon and Diribe Welteji, with Georgia Griffith running a personal best of 3:58.40.  Jakob Ingebrigsten won the 1500m Final in 3:30.37 to hold off Timothy Cheruiyot Cole Hocker, with Oli Hoare running 3:34.13 Brussels Diamond League Results Isaac Heyne continued his fine form on the road to take out the 12km City Bay in Adelaide ahead of Jack Rayner and Haftu Strintzos while Izzy Batt-Doyle won in 37:20, ahead of Jessica Stenson and Genevieve Gregson. The event is also the Australian Road Running Championship. Results World Road Running Champion Sabastian Sawe upsets Jacob Kiplimo to take out the Copenhagen Half, while Jakob Ingebrigsten grinds out his debut in the distance in 63:02 after leading at 10km. Results XCR24 concluded with Western Athletics taking out the Men’s Premier Division Tan Relays and also the season premiership, ahead of Bendigo and Glenhuntly, with Ed Marks of Glenhuntly running the fastest lap of the day in 10:36. Box Hill were led out with Lissy Duncan posting the fastest lap of 12:09 ahead of Sandringham and Glenhuntly in Women’s Premier Division, with Sandringham winning the season premiership. Reece Langdon won the bronze medal in the T38 1500m, while Rheed McCracken won bronze in the T34 800m. Paralympic Para Athletics Results Seth O’Donnell and Lissy Duncan both dominated the Burnley Half Marathon, with Seth O’Donnell winning in 1:02:05 over Harry Norman and Ben Chamberlain, while Lissy Duncan in 1:13:03 ahead of Erika Florez and Kate Mason. The winning teams in the Premier Divisions were Western Athletics in the Men’s, and Glenhuntly the winning team in the Women’s. Leanne Pompeani returns and recaps her week leading to National Cross Country Championships. Jeff Riseley makes his IRP debut and chats about his time with Princeton, training for his first marathon. Brad holds down the fort and goes through a solid week of marathon training. Leanne Pompeani won the National Cross Country Championship over 10km held at Launceston, Tasmania ahead of local Ruby Smee, then Holly Campbell for NSW. NSW were the winning team, followed by Victoria and ACT. Seth O’Donnell outkicked Ed Marks in the mud as Haftu Strintzos finished third to make it a Victorian podium sweep, who were also the winning team ahead of NSW and Queensland. Results The World Junior Athletics Champions in Lima, Peru saw several young distance stars take centre stage, with several silver medals awarded to Claudia Hollingsworth in the 800m, Peyton Craig also in the 800m and Cameron Myers in 1500m. Results via World Athletics Jess Hull came fourth in the Rome Diamond League 1500m in 3:54.98, continuing her good form from the Olympics behind reigning champion Faith Kipyegon while Linden Hall bounced back running 3:58.94. Morgan McDonald ran 13:20.52 in the 5000m with Hagos Gebrehewit taking it out in 12:51.07 while Winifred Yavi narrowly missed the 3000m Steeplechase World Record in her 8:44.39 victory. Rome Diamond League Results Jarryd Clifford crossed the finish line in third in the T13 5000m at the Paralympic Games in France, only to be disqualified for dropping his tether metres before the finish line. Michael Roeger won silver in the T46 1500m in 3:51.19. Paralympic Para Athletics Results Elliott Giles sets the official Road Mile World Record of 3:51.3 ahead of Yared Nuguse in Düsseldorf, Germany.
