To his surprise, it was a quick and easy pickup as the groceries were already bagged, and the deliveries were just four miles away. As he was loading the groceries into his car, he received a ping from Uber offering him another pickup from Safeway for $12, which he accepted. Damon then proceeds to talk about his friend's experience with DoorDash, where they had unusual instructions to call the customer for drop-off instructions. Despite encountering canceled orders and minimal customer interaction due to COVID-19, Damon's friend still completed the deliveries and received unexpected tips. Reflecting on his own recent deliveries, Damon shares that he made around $80 for two DoorDash orders, including a canceled and refunded one. He speculates that the high tip he received was possibly from someone using their mom's credit card. Damon also mentions earning an additional $14 from an Uber Eats order, bringing his total earnings to $92 in less than an hour. He emphasizes that these delivery gigs can be lucrative when receiving high-paying orders. Damon then recounts his Instacart experience, where he accidentally went to the wrong grocery store.
