However, the Reds did have a really good spell in the first half, and it could have been so different if Sam Surridge's equaliser had stood when Forest were 1-0 down; as it was, VAR ruled that the striker's shoelace was offside. Two goals from Brennan Johnson decided the match, the first after VAR intervened on an offside call, and the second from a frankly sexy counter-attack.
